Privacy Policy for LilyGram

LilyGram (“we”, “our”, or “us”) builds a greeting-card creation experience that blends user-generated content with AI-assisted artwork. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the LilyGram mobile app or related services, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
Account & Profile Data
- Email address and password (Firebase Authentication) for account creation and login.
- Display name and profile details you optionally add (e.g., first name).
App Usage & Content
- Cards, templates, and text you design in the editor.
- Uploaded or generated images, including AI-generated illustrations you request and the prompts you provide.
- Delivery preferences (e.g., recipients, send method) when you send a card via SMS, email, GIF, or shared link.
Device & Diagnostics
- Basic telemetry from Firebase (e.g., app version, device model, crash logs) to keep the app stable and secure.
Purchases & Billing
- Billing identifiers from the Google Play Store (if you upgrade to premium or purchase credits). We rely on Google Play’s payment APIs and do not store full payment card data on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and maintain the service: authenticate users, render saved cards, sync assets, and manage templates.
- Personalize the editor: remember recent templates, colors, fonts, and AI styles.
- Generate AI content: prompts and resulting images may be stored so you can reuse them and to enforce limits (e.g., premium users’ 50-image quota).
- Send communications: email confirmations, card delivery notifications, service updates, and support responses.
- Improve safety & reliability: monitor usage for abuse, debug crashes, and optimize performance.
- Comply with legal requirements: respond to lawful requests and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How We Share Data
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Functions, Google Play Services) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality.
- Analytics & diagnostics tools (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics) to understand errors and usage patterns.
- Legal authorities when required by law or to protect our users, property, and rights.
4. Data Retention
- Account data stays in Firebase until you request deletion or your account remains inactive beyond retention limits.
- Design content (cards, uploaded files, AI images) remains available for your reuse until you delete it or remove your account.
- Billing records follow Google Play retention policies.
- Backups & logs may persist for a limited period after deletion for security, auditing, or disaster recovery.
5. Your Choices & Rights
- Access & update: edit your profile, cards, and AI assets directly in the app.
- Download/export: contact support to receive a copy of your account data.
- Delete: remove cards/images individually or request full account deletion via the in-app profile screen or by emailing our support (see Section 9).
- Opt-out of emails: unsubscribe links accompany non-essential emails. Transactional emails (e.g., receipts) may still be sent.
- Permissions: you can revoke photo-library or notification permissions in your device settings.
If you are in a region with specific privacy rights (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), reach out and we’ll honor applicable requests (access, correction, deletion, portability, or opt out of certain processing).
6. Children’s Privacy
LilyGram is designed for individuals 13+ (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we’ll take steps to delete it.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), Firebase security rules, authentication best practices, and limited-access policies for employees/contractors. No system is 100% secure, so please safeguard your login credentials and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
8. International Users
Our infrastructure may store and process information in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using LilyGram, you consent to the transfer of data to those locations, which may have different privacy protections than your home jurisdiction.

10. Changes to This Policy
